Instagram Reels is SUCH a powerful tool to be using for your business. If you want to gain a following, build an audience, see your instagram grow? Then you need to be on Instagram Reels! Today’s post is all about how to make money with Instagram Reels!!! I’ve been using my Instagram Reels to grow my brand and also make some more money – and I’m going to tell you how you can do it, too!
I personally think there’s nothing wrong with dancing or pointing to grow your online brand… but, spoiler alert, you don’t have to do those things to use Reels or even see your audience grow through Reels. Remember that videos (in any length) help your audience feel more connected. That’s SO important. To put it into perspective, over the past 3 months since I posted my first reel, I’ve gained over 3,500 followers on Instagram. That kind of growth isn’t happening anywhere else for me right now! This is a REAL way you can grow your audience and with my other Instagram tips, you can continue to turn those followers into PAYING customers!
Approach it by thinking of YOUR ideal client and YOUR brand.
If you are putting out content in any way (especially Reels), it has to be targeted to your ideal client alllll about how you show up in the world for them and help them. Otherwise, it won’t do you any good! For example: if you’re a website designer, who are YOUR ideal clients? Is it other website designers? Probably not, unless you are educating them! Think of content that is specific to the audience you want to attract and then turn that into reels. Maybe you’ll talk about where to host a website or talk about how to change a template. At the end of the day, you want the people seeing your Reels turn into followers who then turn into customers. Bottom line: make sure your Instagram Reels are targeting who your products and service are for!
Create reels that naturally lead to one of your offers or services.
Your Instagram can also directly lead your customers to your services. This happened to me on Tik Tok but I imagine it would happen on Instagram Reels too! I created a video that showed my Presets using before and after images. At the end, I directed them to my presets, which is what I used. This video got thousands of views and that week, I saw an extra $500 in sales on my Presets. I don’t think that’s a coincidence!! If a reel “blows up” and goes viral, you want it to naturally lead to your offerings or services, if possible, or at least relate to your brand so that you can make that money!
Make building your email list a PRIORITY.
It doesn’t do you any good to have reels with lots of likes and comments and gain followers if you’re not getting them into the next point of connection (which usually is your email list). You want to have systems in place to capture these followers so that you can continue to market to them. Once they’re on your email list, you have a more personal and intimate touch point with them instead of just a random number on social media!
There’s some easy ways to build your email list, including sharing about your free downloads on your Reels and stories. I’ve noticed a lot of my following watches my stories, so I make sure to constantly share about items that connect and feed followers onto my email list, whether it’s a freebie or product I’m highlighting! And don’t forget your call to actions on EVERYTHING: your posts, your link in profile, your Reels… seriously! By the way, if you still aren’t convinced about an email list… remember: if social media goes away tomorrow, I still OWN my email list and I can still market to them. I’m serious about making this a priority for you!
At the end of the day, the most important thing is finding ways to get your viewers to become your followers and your customers. Encourage them to join your email list where you can market to them regularly and direct them to your actual products and services! Trust me, with some time and effort, it will make a HUGE difference!
