Have you ever seen Instagram users talk about how they make sales with Instagram reels and thought to yourself, “But how?!” That’s what I want to talk about in today’s video! I’ll list a few of the ways that I have turned my reels into actual sales. It’s probably more simple than you think!

Today, I’m sharing my strategy to make sales with Instagram reels I post on my account.
Socials are for Visibility
In my business, I use social media to become visible online. I nurture my audience and ask them to join my email list. My email list is where I make the most sales. Remember, email was made for sales. It is much easier to sell to an email subscriber than a social media follower. This strategy has proven successful for my business for many years. Think: How can I use social media to point people to my freebies & low ticket items, so that eventually, I can upsell them into my paid offers?
Reels Strategy
Now, apply this strategy in order to make sales with Instagram reels. The primary goal is for users to opt-in to your email list. From there, you want to have a sales strategy in place such as a tripwire, sales funnel, free webinar offer, or sales pitch. The BEST way to make an impact with your reels is to utilize a program called Manychat. Manychat automates the process of delivering your email opt-in link. For example, you post a reel prompting the user to comment on a specific word to learn more from you. They comment the word on your post, and Manychat automatically sends a DM with your opt-in details. Use my free Manychat template to get started right now! You can copy the template to your account and start using Manychat for Instagram automation immediately. And, for an even more detailed explanation of Manychat, watch this video from my YouTube channel for a step-by-step setup tutorial!
Manychat in Action
Here is one example of how I incorporate Manychat in order to make sales with Instagram reels. I post a reel prompting the user to comment on a specific word in order to get a link to my free email class. When they comment, they automatically receive a link to the class in their DMs. Inside of the free class, I pitch my online course about email marketing that they can purchase at a discount. Another example of how I incorporate Manychat is with freebie tripwires. One of my freebies is an Instagram Posting Schedule. When someone gets the link & downloads it, they are immediately pitched my 35 Days of Instagram product. The pitch makes sense because it directly relates to creating your Instagram posting schedule.
Creating Your Reels Strategy
Think: What’s the first step to someone opting into your list? How can you set up automations that create real sales? Create the freebie that draws someone in, and share it repeatedly in your reels, stories, and any content you can fit it into. Sales can be automated for product-based businesses, service-based businesses, or digital product businesses. Other Reels Considerations
Outside of Manychat, here are some things to think about in terms of using reels to drive sales. Think about how you can share valuable information before it’s time to pitch. Show up with intent simply to serve. Consider how you can share your journey as it relates to your ideal client. How can you share about your own journey & the experiences you have had in order to build credibility, trust, and bring that ideal client a little more into your world? Having a personal brand and incorporating that into my content has served my business incredibly well over the past eight years.
