Are you struggling to have confidence showing up on Instagram Reels right now? Maybe you WANT to make some reels because of the awesome growth you’re seeing others getting with it, but every time you try to convince yourself to show up on camera, you feel really insecure and immediately put the camera away. I GET it. Trust me!! In this video, I’m going to share some tips and tricks that have really helped me to show up and be confident on Instagram Reels!

The more you do it, the easier it gets.

As with anything, practice makes perfect. Or, it at least makes you more confident! When I first started all of my video marketing, I was SO awkward in front of the camera (no, really!). But, over time, I’ve continued to work and try these videos and it’s gotten SO much easier! Once you’re more comfortable with being on camera, everything else becomes super easy and fun! 

Have fun with it!

While Instagram Reels can really extend who your account is reaching, it’s still supposed to be fun! Don’t put a ton of pressure on yourself to be perfect. No one is. These videos are so short and there’s no expectations for how these look since they’re pretty new! And don’t’ forget, you can literally redo these videos as much as you want. They’re only 15 seconds long!! 

An easy way to feel more confident as you make your videos is to pretend you’re just doing it with or for someone you’re comfortable with, like your significant other or best friend! At the end of the day, just remember to smile and have fun. The people that LOVE you for who you are will keep (or start) following you! 

Remember the reward. 

Right now, Instagram is rewarding video content with MORE engagement. I’m getting videos hit 200k+ views, and on average a LOT of my videos hit 15-30k+ views with around 10k followers on instagram. That’s HUGE. More engagement turns into more followers. If you’re in the part of your business where growing your brand and business is your focus, showing up on video is one of the BEST ways to do this. I can pretty much guarantee that videos will bring in more of an audience. 

For me, the reward is great enough that I am willing to push myself out of my comfort zone… including maybe one or two dancing Reels here and there, because the engagement is THERE!!! Honestly, it grows my brand more than anything right now and even though I might not always feel the most confident or comfortable, I know it’s worth it to connect with others out there!! I hope these tips help you remember to have fun and be confident on Instagram Reels!!
