This blog post is super special to me because these two were FRIENDS before they booked me for their wedding!! :) Michael and I started attending a new church right after we got married last year, and Emily and Alex were two of the first people we met. We came in only a couple of months after they started dating, so it’s been so fun to see how their relationship has grown!!

Their love for each other but most importantly for the Lord is so evident. Michael and I both have felt so encouraged to have them as friends and to have been in the same small group with them last year! I even got to witness their proposal a couple of months ago at Inniswood! Alex had a spot specially picked out, so myself and a group of their friends made sure to set up the ring, scrapbook, and have music playing before they arrived… then hid in the woods to wait for them to come! :) It was SO fun to see and to watch them become and engaged couple!!

We headed to the Columbus Park of Roses because that’s where Alex asked Emily to be his girlfriend last year. They love visiting this park and it has so much meaning to them, which I LOVE – it’s so sweet when couples choose spots for their session that have so much meaning behind it!! It’s seriously the BEST and we had a blast hanging out. There’s always another layer of excitement when you get to photograph good friends, and it was seriously a blast!!
