Are Webinars Working?
Are webinars dead? Bottom line: No. I don’t think webinars are dead. However, people are tired of them being nothing more than an hour-long sales pitch. They have been over it for a while now. I’m surprised by how often I decide to jump in one only to find out it contains nothing of substance.
Normally, I see webinar hosts spend most of an hour overcoming what your objections are and trying to change your mind. Then, they spend another twenty minutes hard selling their course.
Lead with Value
I prefer to lead with value even inside my free content. Only then do I invite viewers into something deeper with me (my paid offer).
There’s a right way and a wrong way to do that. I’ve been guilty of oversharing information that leaves a viewer feeling overwhelmed. It’s important to find a balance of giving just enough information that will inspire your audience to take action on the things you’re sharing.
Leading with value followed by an invitation into something deeper is the biggest way I see evergreen revenue from my courses.
