If you’re wondering how to actually get your Reels added to the Reels Play Bonus program, today’s post is for you! Once you’re invited to the program, it’s super exciting to get started. But, it can feel confusing at first to make sure you’re tagging the Reels properly and actually adding them to your program so you can get paid. So I’ve got a super fast tutorial on how to add a Reel to the Reels Play Bonus Program on Instagram! 

Create Your Reel

After you’ve created your Reel, you can add it to the Reels Play Bonus Program. This is important because once it’s gone live, you cannot add it or remove it from the program. So, whether it’s a brand new Reel or one in your drafts, make sure you do this step before posting it to your feed. Once your Reel is created and you get to the screen where you can add a cover photo and your caption, scroll all the way down the screen. Look for the section that says “Bonuses”. If you tap on that, you’ll see the option for the Reels Play Bonus Program. Hit “done” and it will take you back to the page with caption space. Now, if you look at the “Bonus” line, it will say “Reels Play”. It’s really important that you see that! Again, you cannot change it after the fact. 

It’s as simple as that! That’s all you have to do to add your Reel to the Reels Play Bonus Program. You can’t take it off the program either once it’s live. If you look at a Reel that’s live and that has been added, that section will actually be grayed out. You can’t select it. So, make sure that it’s a Reel you want to contribute to the Reels Play Bonus Program when you publish it!
