As someone who’s been a business owner for 8 years and as someone who’s used several different email marketing software, I wanted to talk about those programs with you today! The software I currently use, Flodesk, has been my email marketing software of choice for over 3 years now. I absolutely LOVE using Flodesk and recommend it to all of my students. Even as a business owner who has more complicated email marketing workflows and backend options, I will keep using Flodesk. Let’s talk about why! 

Quick to create freebies with full landing pages

The first reason I absolutely love Flodesk is the ability to create full landing pages. If you’re starting out with your email list and are building your freebies – especially if you don’t have  your website going yet – Flodesk is going to help you out. There’s a great option to build full landing pages for your freebies. It basically acts as a website page. Your landing page can then be shared on social media or wherever you need it. Instead of having to build a full website page, then add coding, and get it out… Flodesk makes it super easy! Additionally, Flodesk makes it super easy to actually deliver your freebie, too. You can easily upload the PDF or links that you need to deliver the freebie to your audience. No more linking to other locations!

Ease of use for new email marketers

The second reason I love Flodesk is that it’s ridiculously easy to use! Many of the other email softwares (like Active Campaign, Mailchimp or ConvertKit) aren’t intuitive or easy to use. They may have the ability to build more automations than Flodesk, but it can get super overwhelming very quickly. If you’re new to email marketing, Flodesk is a great place to start. Their software is friendly and intuitive. Remember, you can always switch platforms if you ever feel like you’ve outgrown Flodesk. BUt trust me: it’s a great place to start! 

You don’t pay more when you grow your subscriber count

The next reason that I’m obsessed with Flodesk is that the cost of the software will not rise as you gain subscribers. Your flat fee is the only amount you’re going to pay. Now, if you’re newer and building your list, this might not matter as much and it’s pretty competitive at that point. But if your email list grows, most email marketing platforms will increase your cost as you get more subscribers. I’ve saved thousands of dollars by using Flodesk with a flat fee. 

Analytics are available for your emails

Recently, Flodesk came out with new analytics for your emails. They’ve really been listening to the users and you can see lifetime metrics, as well as individual email metrics. It’s so amazing and easy to see your emails are performing. I love when I don’t have to track things on my own. Personally, I think it’s helpful to see how many people are opening your emails and I LOVE that I can see how freebies are converting, too. 

Beautiful designs are easy

The last reason that I love Flodesk is that their beautiful layouts are built into the software. This makes designing your emails, landing pages, and sign up forms SO beautiful. I love that you can hop in and begin creating emails right away – without any graphic design experience. From being able to add blocks, layouts, and photos… Flodesk makes it beyond easy for us to create gorgeous emails. It’s a huge benefit of using Flodesk for sure! To see better conversations and open rates, design will play a large part of your emails – so it’s nice that Flodesk makes it really easy.
