It’s safe to say after four years of business, I’ve made plenty of mistakes! Don’t get me wrong, I am so grateful for how my business has grown SO MUCH, but that didn’t come with a few mistakes along the way.

Okay okay, so now we get to the good stuff: Wanna know one of the biggest mistakes I made in my business?
Copying what everyone else was doing.
Now before you click away and think “How is that even a mistake?!” PLEASE listen to my thoughts on this!
I truly believe this was one of the biggest things that held me back in my business.
When I was first starting out, I pretty much copied what seemed to work for everyone else… if someone had a cool feature on their website, I added it to mine. If someone wrote a blog post that got a ton of likes, I wrote it too.
And y’know what? This really hurt my business because I wasn’t digging into WHO my ideal client was and my WHY behind my business that makes me unique!
My second year of business, I was stuck. I wasn’t able to raise my prices and still book as many clients, and my business seems to come to a halt. However, once I STOPPED copying what everyone else was doing and started making myself stand out, that’s when I truly began to THRIVE!
What do you think? Have you seen this in your business too? Let me know in the comments below! If you haven’t yet, be sure to grab my freebie to find out what my four other mistakes are!
