Oh my goodness, how do I even start explaining the love I have for these two?! Shea excitedly emailed me a couple of DAYS after they got engaged, excitedly wanting me to be her wedding photographer. She’s a photographer herself so I was INCREDIBLY honored to be chosen to photograph her big day!! From the moment I met them I knew we were going to connect SO well!! :)
Their wedding was at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio, owned by Daniel’s family. It’s an adorable historic farm in the Toledo, Ohio area! Every detail was simply gorgeous, I mean, just WAIT until you see them all!! Shea being a photographer, she just knows what photographs so beautifully!! Their invitation (Shea had it specially made for me to photograph with her details… I was DROOLING when she sent over a sneak peek the week before their wedding!!) and their beautiful cross at their ceremony were a couple of my favorite details. One of my favorite parts of their day was the ceremony. They both shared declarations of love in addition to traditional vows, and oh my goodness, so many tears. It was so hard holding them back behind the camera!! They also shared a foot washing which I LOVED. Michael and I did this at our wedding and there is just so much meaning behind it that is just amazing!!
Shea and Daniel’s love for each other but, more importantly, Jesus simply RADIATES! They are such a joy to be around, but not only that, they have such humble and gentle spirits about them. They are constantly thinking of others first and that completely shows through in the way they treat those around them. Their day was filled with all of the best kinds of emotions, from happy and grateful tears to excitement and joy to finally be MARRIED. These two are both originally from Ohio but met when they became bible study co-leaders at Cru through Clemson University. They were just friends at first, but later their love blossomed and they began dating. Daniel proposed this past December in the same apple orchard where he prayed for his wife as a little boy. How amazing is that?!
To say shooting Daniel and Shea’s wedding was a JOY and honor is an understatement!! I am so happy to have found FRIENDS in these two and can’t wait to see where God takes them in their marriage. SO happy I was there to celebrate their marriage with them and I can’t WAIT for you to see all of these favorites on the blog today!! Shea and Daniel, thank you for letting me be a part of it all, and ENJOY all of these beautiful images from your big day!!
