This shoot is the first shoot of the YEAR for 2018 and I’m so excited to share it with you all today!! Wow, where do I even begin?! First of all, these two are simply a JOY to be around!! Their upbeat personalities and laughter is contagious, they were giggling the whole way through their session! Plus, aren’t they just a gorgeous couple?! :) I am so grateful for my absolutely wonderful SK couples!
Katee and Andrew grew up only a couple of miles from each other, but didn’t start dating until attending The Ohio State University. They knew of each other in high school, but didn’t connect and start dating until they were attending college. Andrew was smitten and knew he had to date Katee! :) They have been together for around eight years and got engaged last December. Andrew chose to propose over Christmas time (again, so near and dear to my heart since Michael and I were engaged around Christmas too – I just LOVE IT!). The evening he proposed, not only did they have a wonderful dinner planned, but he also made a Christmas ornament for Katee that said “Will You Merry Me?” This is how he popped the big question! So sweet!!
We met for their engagement session in Uptown Westerville, Ohio and it couldn’t have been more perfect and FUN! I always love visiting Uptown. Since I lived in Westerville for a few years (it’s where Michael and I met and started dating), it’s always fun to go back and walk around to see all the places I used to visit. Michael and I even had our engagement photos taken there last year, so it’s near and dear to my heart!! :) It might have been a little windy during their session, but you can’t tell at ALL! These two were troopers and handled it with so much grace!!
Ya’ll are going to laugh, but I was seriously SO EXCITED to find one (one!) little tree with some yellow buds on it. I was able to use it to make the photos look more like spring and I am loving the result!! It was the tiniest little tree but I’m so glad Katee and Andrew trusted me to make it look a little greener and warmer than it really was!! :) It’s still been a little chilly here in Ohio and the greenery and blooms haven’t quite come out yet (I mean, two days after their session it snowed, if that tells ya anything…) But we made it work! And it turned out so great!! Scroll down to see what I’m talking about! :)
There are so many new favorites from their session, I’m so excited to share them with you all today! I can’t wait for these two to officially be husband and wife at their Columbus zoo wedding this October! It’s going to be the most beautiful day filled with joy and details that fit their personalities (I loved hearing about everything they have planned). Enjoy all of these beautiful highlights from our session! :)
