It’s what will determine your official wedding date, and from there, you can book all the other vendors! I photograph the majority of my weddings in Columbus, Ohio, and have seen everything from adorable barns to classy ballrooms. I want to share a little bit on how to choose a wedding venue and pick the perfect one for your day!

After recently planning my own wedding, I think this is one of the hardest parts of the process! There are so many options, and so many different factors play into which venue is the right choice. But how do you even get started? How do you know when you’ve found the perfect one? Or how do you choose between a few seemingly amazing venues? What should you look for in the staff and the layout of the venue? What ceremony and reception options do they have, and why are some better than others? What does it have to offer? What is included in the venue- will you have to also rent your chairs, tables, and decor, or is most of that included? What’s going to help you down the line in the planning process?

After having my own wedding and photographing at dozens of different venues, there are some things that I’ve seen over and over in the best of the best venues I’ve photographed. And I’m here to share them with you today!!
