Get ready for another AMAZING wedding blog post! Mallarie and Stephen’s love story has been over 18 years in the making. They met back in the days of AOL chatrooms and that’s where they first “met” each other… and they’ve been together ever since! I met them in person for the first time at their engagement session and they were nothing short of amazing to work with, so I knew their wedding was going to be incredible… and it was!!

Mallarie and Stephen’s beautiful wedding day was at The Bluestone in downtown Columbus, Ohio. I was SO excited to shoot at a new venue, and I even have another wedding there this fall! It’s so fun shooting at new places!! I LOVED the spots we found for portraits (outside the front of the building and an alley out back). Just WAIT until you see their sunset portraits! The GLOW was unreal!!!

I not only LOVED serving Mallarie and Stephen, but their friends and family too. At the beginning of the day, I had the opportunity to chat with her mom and grandma a little bit and they are just SO sweet. I loved getting to know them! I also am absolutely FLOORED at how amazing their bridal party was. You would not believe how quickly we flew through the portraits… they all were seriously the BEST listeners and made my job so easy!!

Their ceremony was held inside The Bluestone, with the reception in the same room (it was flipped during cocktail hour). Because we did a first look AND did all the family portraits before the ceremony, Mallarie and Stephen just got to relax and hang out during cocktail hour and have some down time. I peeked in on them at one point hanging out in a room, just taking it all in that they were MARRIED! How amazing is is that they had that time just the two of them after getting married!!! That hardly EVER happens on a wedding day and I loved that they created a timeline that made it happen.

These two are seriously two of the EASIEST people to work with ever, and I mean that! They are super chill and laid back, but still on top of things and the whole day just went SO smoothly. Shout out to their awesome wedding planner, Michelle, for playing a huge role in how smoothly their day went. I am so grateful I was their photographer and got to work with their awesome vendor team!
