At the start of every new year, there’s something about the energy that makes you want to zoom out and look at everything from a bird’s eye view — what worked, what didn’t, and where you’re headed. In this behind-the-scenes planning session, I’m walking you through exactly how I’m mapping out my business for the new year, including revenue goals, content strategy, and how I’m scaling with paid ads for more sustainable growth.
This post is a peek into how I plan on tripling my monthly revenue without burning out, plus the exact systems and offers I’m focusing on. This video is super visual, so to see the full process as I map everything out on my wall calendar, watch the full video below:
Setting the Vision: A Simple Path to a 7-Figure Year
Even though I typically plan more quarterly, I love taking the time at the beginning of each year to map things out with fresh clarity. My ultimate goal for 2026? Triple my monthly revenue and eventually, cross into that seven-figure mark — but in a way that feels sustainable.
In past years, I chased that goal but felt like I was doing too many things at once. This year, I’m simplifying. I’m narrowing in on the one main offer I love to sell (hint: YouTube for Business) and letting everything else support that.
I’ve spent most of 2025 building out my backend systems, and now it’s all about optimizing and scaling them — instead of starting from scratch again.
My Main Focus: YouTube + Evergreen Funnels That Actually Convert
If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know I’m a big believer in long-form, evergreen content. It’s what built my business in the first place (back when I was still a photographer!).
In 2026, I’m leaning all the way into this strength. My primary offer is YouTube for Business, and I’m funneling traffic into it through my low-ticket offer, Binge-Worthy Video Plan. These two offers work together seamlessly — and they’re going to be the cornerstone of my evergreen sales strategy moving forward.
My revenue has been steady at $15K–$20K/month, which I’m incredibly proud of, especially since it’s almost entirely from new sales every month — not recurring revenue. Now, I’m building in the structure to scale that sustainably with paid ads layered on top of organic marketing.
Organic Content is Still Important — But I’m Not Doing More
One of the biggest lessons from 2022–2025? When organic is working, lean in hard. But also, realize that it’s not sustainable to do more organic content without eventually hitting burnout — especially with young kids at home.
That’s why I’m layering in paid ads, and already working with an ads coach. My goal isn’t immediate profit — it’s building a long-term scalable system. The ads have been breaking even (which is normal early on), but when layered on top of the right funnels and organic content, that’s where the magic happens.
I know from past launches that when my YouTube is doing well, my sales follow. But I don’t want my income to depend on whether a video performs one week or not. Paid ads give me predictability — and that’s exactly what I need to triple my revenue.
My Primary Offers for 2026
Here’s what I’m focusing on:
-
Main Offer: YouTube for Business
-
Low-Ticket Entry Point: Binge-Worthy Video Plan
-
Content Funnel Strategy: 70% evergreen, 30% live promos
-
Paid Ad Budget: Up to $15K/month
My sales funnel is already built — webinar funnels, email automations, everything. Now it’s about optimizing conversions and getting the right people into those funnels.
My 2026 Content Strategy (That I’m Actually Going to Stick To)
One of my big goals for Q1 is to create a content strategy that I can actually stay consistent with. Here’s what that looks like:
YouTube
-
4 videos per month
-
2 sit-down videos
-
2 vlog-style videos
-
-
Livestreams every other week, to test YouTube’s new multi-format updates
-
YouTube Shorts clipped from long-form videos using Opus Clip & repurposed from reels I’m already making for Instagram
-
3 feed posts/week (mix of reels, carousels, photos)
-
Daily Stories, using my low-lift, high-converting story strategy
I’m not aiming to go viral — just to stay visible for new leads coming in through my ads and funnels. Instagram is more about warming up those leads and converting them once they’ve landed on my profile.
Email Marketing
-
3 emails per week
-
1 content roundup (Fridays)
-
1 live email (inspired by recent topics or thoughts)
-
1 automated weekly newsletter (coming Q1, but until then, sending this live)
-
I’ve been doing the 3x/week email strategy for a while now and love how much flexibility it gives me. I’m also building out an evergreen weekly newsletter funnel so that new subscribers get valuable content automatically (without me needing to write every email in real-time).
The Tools + Tricks I Use to Stay Organized
To see how I visually mapped all of this out, definitely go watch the video — this part is hard to describe in text, but I use giant wall calendars, wet erase markers, and handwritten paper to plan everything out.
Here are a few things mentioned in the video that I recommend:
-
Wet erase markers (they don’t smudge when you brush against them!)
-
A simple paper setup I can see daily — not just live in my Google Drive
And I can’t forget to mention my secret weapon for testing content ideas: Threads. Every day, I jot down business ideas or potential content in a simple note on my phone. If something does well on Threads, that’s a sign I might want to turn it into a video or newsletter.
Planning My First Launch of 2026
The last part of my planning session was setting dates on my calendar. I’m kicking off the year with a big launch for YouTube for Business, likely end of January into February.
It’s always been one of my best-performing launches of the year — people are setting goals and want to grow on YouTube. So I’m spending the rest of December and early January in priming mode — with every piece of content centered around YouTube marketing.
That means every email, YouTube video, and Instagram post will be leading up to this launch. (If you want to learn more about how I do this, check out Inbox to Income — my email marketing course that walks through this entire strategy in depth.)
