This is one of my FAVORITE times of the year! Every April for a week or two, the trees at Goodale Park in the heart of Columbus bloom ever so perfectly. Ever since moving to Columbus a few years ago, I have gone EVERY spring!! :) Crazy, right! This year was no exception. In fact, I actually made it down there a total of three times in one week! Call me crazy, but those blooms are just too pretty to pass up.
As soon as Brittney saw some of the photos Michael and I had done in front of the pretty trees, she immediately texted me to see if we could squeeze in some photos of her and her boyfriend, Josh, before he leaves after Easter weekend! I am so excited we were able to fit them in. They turned out oh so perfectly! These two are such sweet friends to Michael and I. In fact, they were a part of the whole surprise-scheme for our proposal! :) They helped out so much. Brittney was also in on helping to “set up” Michael and I’s first date, waaaay back before Michael and I were even dating.
They both met at the SAME college small group where Michael and I met! :) It’s so special to have that connection. Josh has been a good friend of Michael’s since high school, and I met both of them around the same time I met Michael. Since then, they’ve been dating for close to two years. It’s been a lot of long distance, though, because Josh is currently attending the Merchant Marine Academy in New York. It’s so awesome to see their dedication to each other, though, and how they’ll make every effort to see each other (or have Skype dates) every chance they get. I have never had to experience that with Michael, but I still admire the way they still pursue each other, even from a few states away.
It was so awesome to have them in front of the camera for a really fun night. :) Enjoy some of my favorites from their sweetheart session!
