Sharing these photos is so bittersweet because Michael and I are actually not going to be in this adorable townhome much longer… more to come on that, but let’s just say the last few weeks have been a WHIRLWIND! We moved into this townhome in May of this year (2019) and have loved every second of it.

It’s our first place that wasn’t an apartment. It’s where I lived as I shot most of my 2019 wedding season. It’s where we brought Emmy (our puppy) home and where she lived the first four months of her life with us. It’s where Michael found out he got his first job after college… it’s where we lived when we GRADUATED college. In the past 6 months, we’ve done so much life here and let’s just say we’ve had it WELL documented for only being here 6 months, haha! If you follow along on my Instagram, you’ll be the first to know what adventure we have ahead next and why I’m sharing it like this! ;) 

But for today, until the news is out, I want to share these anniversary photos we took in our townhome in Gahanna, Ohio. We had the absolutely incredibly AMAZING Jenna Greenawalt take these for us and WOW, it was the best portrait experience of our lives. Her excitement is so similar to how I shoot and direct, and it’s something I truly appreciated. Even though we get in front of the camera quite a bit, it’s still SO encouraging to have someone so upbeat and constantly telling us how good we’re doing! We truly appreciate that about her and cannot be more grateful to have these photos of us in our townhome. My gratefulness has only grown now that this season is coming to an end. 

We started the session in our home with lifestyle type photos, then headed to Hoover Dam for some formal outdoor portraits and OH MY WORD, they turned out to be DREEEEEAMY. I mean it when I say Jenna truly captured my vision in the BEST way and I am so thankful!!! We also had my girl, Hanna with Le Reve do hair and makeup for me, and had a beautiful bouquet designed by Old Slate Farm. Everything came together even better than I ever could have dreamed!

Here are just a few (okay, A LOT because I cannot narrow things down haha) of my favorites from our anniversary session of myself, Michael, and Ember that Jenna photographed for us! I will treasure these forever and already have SO MANY printed out and on our walls!
