I’m SO EXCITED to share this wedding with ya’ll! If you remember, I’ve photographed this couple (dear friends of ours) three times before: a sweetheart session while they were dating, their proposal, and their engagement session! And now it’s time to finally share their WEDDING DAY that was this past Sunday at the Barn at White Fence Acres in Marengo, Ohio! It was truly a joy to photograph their day and to play a huge part in it all. Michael was a groomsmen in the wedding which made it all the more fun!
I absolutely loved seeing all of the details of their wedding come together after hearing week after week what Brittney was working on for their wedding!! Brittney and Josh ended up getting an apartment two blocks away from where Michael and I live now, so it’s been a treat to see them more and to hang out quite a bit! We love these two!! Michael has known Josh for quite a long time. Josh and Brittney both started dating around the same time Michael and I did, so it’s been fun to see their relationship blossom! The majority of their relationship has been long distance, which is something I admire about them… it is hard, but they pushed through it all and pursued each other along the way!
One of my favorite things about their day was mentioned during one of the bridesmaid’s toasts. She talked all about how their relationship has stayed so strong through being apart, but more importantly, that they kept their faith strong through their distance. Their faith didn’t waver, in fact, it strengthened and taught them how to grow closer to God together, whether that was praying or reading their Bible through phone calls and Skype!
Another element of their wedding I really loved was their foot washing during their beautiful outdoor ceremony by the water! Being a follower of Jesus, it has such a deep meaning to wash each others feet. Not only does it resemble what Jesus did while He was on the earth, but it shows great humility before one another. It’s such a great act of showing how you want to put the other first and serve them first in your marriage. What better way to enter a marriage? Michael and I did this at our wedding as well, so it was special to see these two friends do the same at their wedding!!
Brittney and Josh, I am SO grateful I was there to photograph your big day!! What a FUN celebration it was. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such great friends and for letting us be a part of it all! Kelsie and I had a BLAST photographing it and Michael loved being a groomsmen!! Have a FUN honeymoon out in Montana!!

LOVED the foot washing at their ceremony! Such a powerful moment!
That’s me and Brittney on the far right… and in the middle is another couple friend of ours! They’re getting married THIS Saturday!!
Some more of my favorite people below!! Me and Michael on the left, me and Kelsie in the middle (she photographed the wedding with me, she’s the best!!), and Allie & Brendan are a past Stephanie Kase couple!! :) They got married last year!
We ended the night with a fun sparkler exit… and then they hopped in their getaway convertible and drove off!!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Mize! :)
