Why Albums are Worth the Investment + Stephanie Brann Photography’s Heirloom Albums

November 15, 2016

Hey brides!! Albums are something that, even amidst the sea of technology, are still SO IMPORTANT!! I know that they seem expensive… not really worth it… and maybe you’re thinking, why do I need one when I can pull up my images on my phone?

Think of it this way. Way back when everyone had video cassette tapes, it seemed like the best way to keep video. No one could have imagined that a newer, better way to store movies and home videos… right?! Well, then came CDs, and now when is the last time you have seen a cassette player sold anywhere?! It’s scary to think that you are CERTAIN you have something stored and always available, but there is a GOOD chance that things will develop and that will no longer be the case. As has happened with cassette.

No matter how much you back up your images, technology can change in an instant, making them out of reach. I always gift a complimentary USB to all my couples, so they can have their images backed up somewhere… however, computers are already starting to be sold without USB ports. Although there are converters, it probably won’t be long before they’ll be outdated. Backing up your images online somewhere is important too, but you definitely can’t put 100% of your trust into one backup company. The one SURE way to know you’ll always be able to flip through your wedding day and relive it all over again is to have something tangible and right in front of you. There will always be a LOT of options for this… you can print them out yourself, create your own photo books at one of hundreds (if not, thousands) of different places… However, something they can’t offer you is something you can have within 6 weeks of your wedding, created by someone who can design an album to flow well, and an album of the utmost quality (that is not available to be ordered by general public!).

My Legacy Albums I offer in my business are hand-bound with genuine leather, with an engraving of your names on the front. They come in a 10″ x 10″ size. They are made to last for YEARS, unlike many photo books and albums offered by most photo book making companies. I offer 9 different colors, as shown below in the first image on the right. The pages are very thick and lay flat as you open them. Parent albums are also available, and are exact duplicates of your Legacy Album, just in a 6″ x 6″ size.

My favorite part about these albums is that they give you the ability to turn them, page by page, and relive your wedding day all over again from start to finish. It tells a story, the story of the first day of your marriage. By any means, this does NOT mean you HAVE to invest in an album or your wedding will not be the same… because your wedding day is STILL the beginning of your marriage. Whether or not you order an album will not change that. However, I wholeheartedly believe it’s something you will NOT regret. As the years go by, and you’ll pull out your Legacy Album time after time to show your friends, family, and grandkids. You’ll be so glad you made this investment at the very beginning.

I hope this gives you some insight on whether or not to make this investment for your wedding day, and give you some more information on what I offer! As always, feel free to email me any questions you might have. If you’re interested in seeing them for yourself, I always bring my albums to consultations so you can take a peek.
