Where do I even begin!! These two are such sweet and amazing people, I am seriously SO excited to have them as a Stephanie Kase Couple for 2020! Shelby Shea and Nick are getting married next year in May at The Westin, one of my favorite venues in Columbus, Ohio. Hearing them talk about their wedding day already has me SO excited… all the pinks and whites (a light and airy dream!) and seriously beautiful details!! Not to mention, they’re such FUN people, I know it’s going to be such a good day!

Shelby Shea and Nick have been engaged since January! Nick proposed while on a surprise trip! Nick told Shelby Shea they were going to drive a LONG way somewhere and she had no idea where… she guessed maybe Erie, then maybe Pittsburgh (based on signs for where they were going, haha!) but the destination was actually Niagara Falls! While they were visiting the falls, Nick sneakily asked a young person from a family to take their photos, and to take “candids.” That’s when Nick got down on one knee and TOTALLY surprised Shelby Shea! She knew it would happen soon but definitely not at that moment, so she was totally shocked!

We headed to the Short North for their engagement session because that’s where they had their first date! They went to Condado in the short north a little over two years ago and have been together ever since. Towards the end of their session, Shelby Shea’s mom (she is so sweet! I loved meeting her at the consultation too!) also brought their dog, Watson for some photos! Her parents actually own another Saint Bernard, Holmes (how adorable, right?!) Watson is only a year and a half old but SO well behaved! He’s super chill and such a sweetheart. I truly mean it when I say I love when dogs are incorporated into sessions… it’s the BEST!! We took photos with him in Goodale Park, a gorgeous park with lots of greenery right in the Short North!
