When Maria first contacted me about shooting her and Chad’s wedding in Alaska, my heart skipped a beat. I hadn’t been back since moving away four years ago, so I was DYING at the chance to visit again!! My excitement only grew as the wedding became closer and closer, and Maria shared more of what she had planned.
Maria and Chad first met through Krista, Chad’s sister and Maria’s best friend. Although they had met a couple times, it wasn’t until Krista started prodding that they began to chat more. Although they lived in separate states across the country, their phone calls and Skype chats became more and more frequent… and soon, they were dating.
They had the most perfect day for their outdoor wedding in Anchorage, Alaska. Their ceremony and reception both took place in her grandma’s backyard, and oh my goodness, was it perfect! They said their vows on a patio overlooking a lake with mountains stretching behind. It was absolutely beautiful! Their vows to each other was one of my favorite parts of their wedding. Their love and commitment for each other was spoken through their personal vows, in a way that was so Christ centered. It was absolutely beautiful to witness.
