Get ready for one of the most BEAUTIFUL and amazing blog post, friends! This styled shoot is something I’ve been dreaming of since mid-summer and I can’t believe it became a reality… and TOTALLY blew away any expectations I had! I love styled shoots for a few reasons, one being that it allows me to think creatively without the pressure of working for clients. I’ve found that by approaching styled shoots this way, it allows me to serve my couples EVEN BETTER because I had some space to create without expectation.

I also love styled shoots because it allows me to connect with some awesome other vendors in this industry! We had an AMAZING dream team of vendors who all came together to create something incredibly magical. I am beyond grateful for each and every one of them! To the Estate (Kristen and Alyssa, you rock!) for allowing us to use their venue, to Passiflora Studio (Caroline) for being a ROCKSTAR florist and totally blowing everyone away, to Katie Grace with Build a Bride for bringing a gorgeous dress (and staying late to help with dress fluffing), to Hanna for creating an absolutely GORG makeup look, for Megan for making the hair look magical (I still don’t know how she does it! So effortless), to Aiden & Grace for providing some specialty rentals, Thistle and Twill for providing beautiful table linens, to Zach and Alexa for stepping in last minute as models. SO GRATEFUL to have connected with old friends and to make new ones in this industry!!

Okay, so let’s talk about the aesthetic of the shoot! My vision was to do something fall related but a little different and not your typical fall palette… we pulled in more golds, oranges, and auburns as the main colors with hints of blush to give it a feminine touch. Caroline (the florist) did an absolutely amazing job pulling in some really natural fall foliage into the florals (she literally went foraging for half of it, ya’ll! This woman is amazing!!) There are literally branches from trees with leaves that were changing colors. It was so, so epic and we couldn’t stop staring at it as she was creating it… we still don’t know HOW she did it but she creates straight up MAGIC. She decorated the mantle with AMAZING florals and made a beautiful bouquet, bout, and centerpiece for the table.
