I love this couple for SO MANY REASONS!! First, they are just so sweet and genuine. I knew they were going to be so fun to photograph!! We laughed and giggled our whole way through their engagement session at the Scioto Mile in downtown Columbus, Ohio… just wait until you see all of these favorites!! :) SO much laughter and fun! Secondly, we have a lot of connections through church which I immediately LOVED when I met them for the first time at their consultation!!
For their engagement photos, we headed to the Scioto Mile because they’ve had so many dates there. When a couple chooses a spot because it has meaning to them, THAT is something I absolutely love!! They told me about the many times they came down and just enjoyed hanging out together there. These two technically met originally when they were babies… their parents knew each other and went to the same church!! How cool is THAT! God has a funny sense of humor!! They reconnected years later at a concert they both were invited to by a mutual friend and started dating afterward. Steven proposed to Emily at Inniswood, a beautiful park in Westerville!
They’re planning a brunch wedding (!!!) at Everal Barn in Westerville, Ohio next month!! As soon as they said brunch, I said I’M IN. I mean, what’s better than brunch food?! They also told me there might just be donuts there… so it’s safe to say I’m pretty excited! I’ve loved shooting at Everal Barn in the past and cannot wait to photograph their wedding! It’s going to be a blast. Their vision for their day is still to have a classy wedding… but with a more relaxed feel because it’s outdoors and brunch style. Love love LOVE!
