Planning a wedding can be incredibly overwhelming. There are so many things to think about!! How to set up your timeline, what florals you want, who your photographer will be, arranging the seating chart (this one seriously took me DAYS), finding the perfect DJ, figuring out who will coordinate it all once the day comes, what dress you’ll wear, what food you’ll eat, how to arrange the gift table, what your bridesmaids will wear, what ties will the groomsmen wear, how will the invites look, when should you send the invites, managing your guest list, coordinating all your vendors, communicating with your venue, planner, and all the other vendors… and on and on and on!
There is definitely a LOT that goes into it, I completely 100% understand! I just went through the entire planning process this year, when I planned my wedding from January to July. It is quite the feat and there are so many details, it’s so easy to get overwhelmed!
My biggest piece of advice when the day comes is to let go. Take it all in, and let the day unfold however it’s going to unfold. Don’t worry anymore about the details. What matters the MOST is you’re marrying the LOVE of your life, and that you’re going to be husband and wife! :) Isn’t THAT exciting!!! Honestly, no one is going to remember if the centerpieces were set up perfectly as you envisioned them. Or if the flowers on the cake are arranged how you like it the best… or if a groomsmen accidentally wears a gum wrapper in handkerchief (yes, that actually happened at our wedding, haha!). Honestly, at the end of the day, those details don’t really matter anymore. You’ll look back and be grateful you just ENJOYED the day and took it all in. That’s why you did all this planning beforehand, right?! So that, to the best of your planning-abilities, everything would go really, really well.
Trust everything that you did to prepare, and enjoy being a bride- you’ll only get to be one for one day of your life. ENJOY IT! Enjoy seeing your groom for the first time, having your friends & family all gathered in one place, and all the hugs, excitement, joy, laughter, happy tears, and emotions of the day. You completely and totally deserve it after all that work you put into planning. I absolutely adored being a bride, and I am positive you are going to absolutely love it as well. :)
