Pete & Katie’s wedding day started out with what everyone dreads: rain. And not just a little sprinkling, but it was pouring down the entire time while they were getting ready, through their first look, and during group shots. Their beautiful outdoor ceremony had to be moved underneath a big, white tent. However, just ten minutes before the ceremony, it suddenly stopped and the sun shone through the clouds. They rushed to set up the chairs to still have the ceremony they planned on.
Although a bit crazy at times, everything smoothed out and their wedding turned out to be the most laid-back, rustic, backyard wedding. I’m so glad I got to be apart of it and celebrate this adventurous couple coming together! Congratulations, Pete & Katie! :) Taken as a second shooter with the lovely Jennifer Morgan Photography!
The girls started out getting ready at the Collections Salon in Columbus, Ohio.
I absolutely loved this bridesmaids hairstyle. It was all swept to the side with beautiful, intricate braids. Absolutely gorgeous!!Isn’t this flower girl just the cutest thing?! Her dress was ordered online from a shop on etsy! So unique and pretty.
Katie had a small obsession with sunflowers, as you’ll also see at the ceremony location. :)
My favorite… Look at that gorgeous couple. :)
Most adorable favors! “Love is Sweet” jars of jam!Instead of cake, the couple opted for all different kinds of pie at their reception. What a unique idea, it does sure look delicious! :)
