From the moment Maria first emailed me I KNEW I was going to have so much fun with these two!! We headed to Goodale Park and the Short North in Columbus, Ohio for Maria and Aaron’s engagement session. They are getting married later this year with their reception at the Ivory Room, a gorgeous venue downtown! Although I won’t be a part of their wedding day, getting to photograph their engagement session was simply AMAZING. Couples sessions are seriously so fun!!

These two originally met through mutual friends, but it took them over a year to go out on their first date! They became good friends first before they ever started dating, which I absolutely LOVE. And actually, their first date was a rescheduled first date! It was originally supposed to be at the Columbus zoo lights, but since the weather was bad, Maria suggested cancelling. Aaron initially took that as a hint that she didn’t want to go out… but they eventually figured it out and went out on their first coffee date, haha! They knew right away they wanted to be together. In fact, on their THIRD date they knew they wanted to get married someday! He proposed while they were in Hawaii for a wedding, and she had no idea it was even coming!

It felt like we had been friends forever when I met these two at their session! I loved getting to know them and I loved their personalities, especially together. They make such an amazing couple!! And Maria’s jumpsuit?! AMAZING. I am seriously obsessed. That’s how you know they’re my kind of couple, haha! And the fact that Maria’s a veterinarian so of course we chatted about all the dog things too! Dogs and jumpsuits are the way to my heart!!
