Jennifer and Brandon became husband and WIFE this past Saturday at Brookshire, a beautiful wedding venue in Delaware, Ohio! And wow, was it beautiful, from start to finish! What an AMAZING way to kick off my 2018 wedding season. It was one of those days that just flew by so fast, but it was because there were so many AMAZING things happening all day long, from the pretty details, to their personal vows, to the exciting sparkler exit at the end of the night.
They met on a blind date way back in high school, set up by a mutual friend (who was also a bridesmaid in their wedding!). They were instantly head over heels for each other, which ended with Jen asking Brandon for his number. They ended up texting the entire next day, which resulted in another date the following evening. They ended their second date with a kiss and Brandon asking Jen to be his girlfriend!
Brandon proposed to Jen while they were on a trip to California during Jen’s last spring break during college. They drove up the coast to Napa Valley to visit wineries and enjoy the scenery (which is fitting because it’s one of their FAVORITE things to do together back at home!!). Brandon sneakily hinted that he wanted to go watch the sunset at least once while they were there. Thinking nothing of it, Jen agreed, not knowing that he was planning to propose while they watched the sunset! Using a GoPro to video the entire thing, he got down on one knee and asked Jen to be marry him. Of course, Jen excitedly said yes!!
Jen and Brandon, it was truly an HONOR to be there to photograph your day! Not only am I truly grateful, but I am so happy to call you both friends. It truly felt like I was going to support two people I knew and cared about! You two are so genuine and it’s so evident how important you both are to each other, and how you make keeping your relationship strong so important in your lives. Wow, I am truly grateful to know you both!! I loved every detail you planned for your entire day, I can’t WAIT for you to see all of these!! AHH! So many beautiful images! Enjoy reliving your wedding day, the day you became husband and wife! :)

Jen’s bouquet was DREAMY. I was secretly hoping one of my brides would have peonies in their florals this year, so what a dream come true to have my FIRST wedding of 2018 use peonies! They are my favorite!! :)

Jen and Brandon chose to say their personal, handwritten vows along with traditional vows. I can’t help but tear up a little at personal vows, since that what my husband Michael and I did for our wedding day too! What a sweet moment!!
We sneaked out for sunset portraits at JUST the right time… the GLOW was unreal! So breathtaking!! Seriously the BEST 10 minutes of portraits ever!
