They’re ENGAGED!!! Ahh!!!! I can finally share the incredible news! :) These two are dear friends of my hubby, Michael and I have been waiting so eagerly for this day!! :) I have been planning this out with Josh over the past couple of weeks and am SO EXCITED that it has happened and they are officially engaged! Eee!!! Michael has known Josh for years, and he and Brittney started dating the same summer Michael and I did! :) You might recognize them from this past spring, when I did a couples session for them under the beautiful, pink trees at Goodale.

Josh’s plan was to propose at Highbanks at the overlook, somewhere absolutely beautiful and scenic. When we planned for Saturday, it looked like it was going to rain… but that it was going to stop by the time we got there. Then the night before, it was calling for snow… and it DID snow! Ahh, what!! So crazy, October isn’t even over yet!  I think it made their day so memorable, because they got a little of different seasons. :) Josh started the day by picking Brittney up from her house (blindfolded) and drove her around to a bunch of places. He came to Highbanks, where we met him at the Overlook trail. Since she couldn’t see anything, we were able to follow them the whole way as they walked out to the overlook. As we started walking, beautiful snowflakes started falling from the sky, which made for some beautiful photos at the beginning. :) It stopped by the time we got to the overlook, where Josh got down on one knee and asked Brittney to marry him. Although she knew it would happen soon, she had NO idea it was going to happen that day! Josh totally took her by surprise, I LOVED her reaction!! :)

How sweet it was to be there to witness their engagement!! I am absolutely honored and can’t WAIT for their wedding next year!! :) It’s going to be SO FUN! I cannot wait to celebrate with them both and be a part of it as they plan for their big day! Oh my goodness, it’s so exciting and fun as your friends get engaged and married!

CONGRATS Josh & Brittney!!! Enjoy that shiny new ring on your finger! :)

Below is the beginning, when we started walking and when it was snowing! So magical!

Josh stopped a couple of times to read Bible verses, something they both love to do often. At this point, Brittney was thinking everything seemed so “normal” (I mean, besides being blindfolded, haha) that nothing was going to happen…

When we got to the overlook, Josh took the blindfold off Brittney and got down on one knee!!

The ring box even had a little light to illuminate the ring… love it! :)

Brittney had no idea we were all there, watching and following them!! Her face is priceless! So much joy and happiness!! :)

Josh had sewn the engagement ring into Brittney’s pillow earlier that week… and she had been sleeping on it the ENTIRE WEEK! That face!! It was hilarious!
